It's fascinating how contemporary UI design has converged on a vocabulary only understood by other UI designers
I kind of feel the same way, but then OTOH, if you didn't have somebody explain to you how to drag a file to a folder on classic Mac OS you probably wouldn't have found out by yourself either... the problem is really educational?
That's fair. Dragging is also fairly taxing on dexterity and can fail in catastrophic non-undoable ways if you mess it up
Android removed the ability to turn off gesture navigation on the Pixel 3 and as someone with arthritis I can say I absolutely hate swiping up as a core ui interaction. I want my multitasking button back T_T
