How much of programming language design time is spent desperately wishing ASCII had more than three (four-ish with "angle brackets") kinds of bracket characters? God, I would kill for a couple more without having to resort to Unicode.

but it's probably _searched_ more than it's read long-form, which means you end up writing a lot of code snippets purely for search purposes.

True. I definitely lamented at how many scala libs used ~> as an operator and it's *impossible* to figure out what it means for that lib
