I agree. I like the concepts behind `warp`.

Overall I do, too. I think its routing syntax is super funky, but passable at least. TBH Scala Play's routes file is super funky but would honestly work super well for Rust. Wish warp had more concrete examples, looking forward to seeing it evolve

I expect that to be the case because everyone always asks "what is the flask of rust"
-
Personally I'm looking for a rails/django, not a sinatra/flask

That's why I use actix-web (and other reasons)

Actix definitely seems closest to being ready for prod of what I've seen. They need someone with more experience in security working on it though, and should probably have an opinionated stance on templating pushing only XSS safe libs

If it works for Java EE it can’t be wrong, right?? Hehe

Big fan of Haskell's Servant library's way of dealing with this, where the API is a type. Wish we had some alternative in Rust land for this: https://haskell-servant.readthedocs.io/en/stable/index.html …

I hope Rust gets a Yesod-like before it gets something along the lines of Servant tbh. Servant is cool, and I like it a lot, but the difficulty curve is ROUGH and I still get tripped up regularly. Type safe routes would be awesome either way though.

Yeah... we have all of this extremely elegant pattern matching available... It seems like such a waste...
