Netflix is pissing me off more every time I open it. As they get more into content creation their ux is trending more and more scummy

how so? lots of self promotion?
Most recent update puts the "continue watching" menu above everything else (e.g. hidden under the giant banner ad with no indication you can scroll up) But yeah a lot of pushing their content over everything else overall

Opening the app on our TV now you see an auto playing trailer for their show, with a row of nothing but their stuff, above another row of 90% their stuff. Apparently only Netflix originals are ever "trending"

kind of expected though, their non-netflix movie selection is pretty damn bad. a bit better for tv shows but the writing is on the wall here: if you don't control the content, you are doomed in the long run
