Reading tweets about American health care is appalling and surreal. Most people in the developed world can’t even imagine the problems you have.
Having lived on both sides, prescriptions are definitely the major pain point. Important thing to keep in mind is that insurance covers prescriptions here so it's not as directly felt. Have had to pay for my meds out of pocket a few times though. ~700/mo here vs 80/mo in Canada

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. Insurance covers it though so it's not actually a cost difference I feel often (last time I had to pay out of pocket was right after I moved to the country)

I never experienced US healthcare so it might seem like silly question but… Do you pay for health insurance on top of taxes of instead of taxes?
