MacOS using docker ekidd/rust-musl-builder I've solved it for now with dynamic linking (leaving me with a 120MB image), but if you have any thoughts on static linking I'd love to hear them. I've tried (I think) all of the solutions posted here, but libmysqlclient refuses to link
I suspect you'd need to compile libmysqlclient from source to use musl
