No see you don't understand. They're special because in the 70s some folks arbitrarily decided that 1-127 should mean the characters in the language they spoke.

Not sure this kind of discussion will convince people. Why not make the opt ins cool instead so people will love to use them? I for one would put `#[allow(𝔯𝔢𝔱𝔯𝔬_𝔦𝔡𝔢𝔫𝔱𝔦𝔣𝔦𝔢𝔯𝔰)]` in my crates and it would fit great with the backcompat story of rust 2018
