What's going on with immigration right now is absolutely terrible, but equating it with the atrocities committed during the holocaust is not OK. These children are not being sent to gas chambers or being buried in mass graves.

The way I interpret this is not that we’re at that place now, but that it certainly looks like we’re going that direction. And if we as a society truly believe in “never again,” then we have to stop it before it gets to that place.

My feelings on this are probably just a side effect of Tess and I discussing when/how to discuss my family's history literally yesterday -- But it really worries me that as time goes on people's view of the holocaust is getting softened, and equivalencies like this help that IMO
