    He is a favorite amongst animal staff (and chimps!) and we’re so honored to watch him grow and get to know his personality further.  His favorite activity is running and playing in the yard with his best buddy, Gombus.  Happy Birthday, Michael! 🥳

    Please join us in wishing Michael a happy 31st birthday! At 31, Michael is the youngest member of our chimpanzee troop. We welcomed him three years ago and he is fairly shy but has recently blossomed in his confidence and position within the troop.

    “Skipper” is one of the Zoo’s North American river otters, native throughout the U.S. and Canada, and honorary mascot of the event. As you try and spot the elves, take holiday photos in front of our charming holiday village houses staged around the Zoo.

    🎅🏽 and his reindeer will remain in the North Pole this season, however, his merry elves will have a presence in the form of an activity – Skipper’s Elf ‘n’ Go Seek – where guests can stroll around and spot various elves (or at least their hats and shoes) hiding around.
