If the "tough-on-crime" folks really believed in preventing crime, they would be advocating for housing, education, treatment, and other social services. The fact that they never do, and actively fight against such programs, tells you everything you need to know about them.

@Twolfrecovery about the possibility of producing a "Tolerance Zone", it would give us an opportunity to install drug purity testing resources, allow access for rehabilitation /addiction management medical professionals, and provide a safe non violent venue. -
