I have been working with all stakeholders: SFPD, DAs office, biz community, etc. It is a lengthy process. First you have to get the info, then you have to build the case with an investigation, then arrests, then prosecution and trial. Good info saves time, and money.

What happened to detectives? I thought we had a police department to find information and a DA who is supposed to prosecute? Why do you need to reinvent the wheel here?

I'm not reinventing detective work, I'm hoping to amplify and accelerate it. Why are you opposed to making the process faster and more efficient?

If the DA doesn't prosecute, how will those funds be used?

One of the reasons I spoke to the DA and engaged with the District Attorney's office early on in this project was I wanted to ensure that the program would be successful if we obtained actionable information.

There is tons of actionable information you are sugar coating at worse than anyone else and it's sad because you actually think you're trying to do something good for the city have you been living under a rock do you see what's been going on here

If your initial mindset when you start a project is that it is unsolvable, everyone is corrupt, and everything you do is pointless, then I think it's pretty unlikely you'll accomplish anything. I started with the exact opposite mindset.

I would start with this question: How can trust be restored? Nothing can be accomplished without it.

Building trust is just a matter of putting in the work, doing what you say you'll do, and making it clear you are here to help, not make things worse.
