C'mon Neil- you're going to call this a "knee jerk" reaction? This goes on EVERYDAY and has been since @chesaboudin has been the DA. And two people are dead - f'n dead- let that sink in buddy. Do we really need more facts about what happened here? It was a matter of time.

We can disagree on that - I get the reactions - they are born out of anger. What’s ur solution? It’s easy to get mad. We should be sympathetic, we should also think practically about how to solve them. I was talking about what
@michelletandler called the “pitchfork” reaction.4 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

The easiest part of whatever solution exists is to remove Chesa.

We know the facts, I don't dispute them. The solutions like recall etc don't have a case and no one yet has offered a solution that's practical to get majority of voters support. For example, no one seems to be asking why the parole board who has the right to hold, didn't?

2) Your 2nd. resp. is exactly the resp. of how/why leaders are not held accountable- it's frankly sad. Of course people are asking why parole bd. didn't hold. BUT Chesa is the first line of defense- he was arrested in SF. Good leaders take action and don't wait for others.

Further, you're ignoring the BIG WHITE ELEPHANT in the room. CHESA IS A BROKEN MAN who is managing the entire city of SF based on his own personal deranged, and dangerous views of criminal justice. It seems like it's obvious to everyone but you.

AFAIK that’s the law currently. The parole board is responsible for holding parolees if they violate. He already said that he is looking into why it didn’t work here and what changes are required so I’ll wait to see the results of that before I jump to conclusions re: remedies.

Neil, the parole board can choose to do what they want, they don't have to hold. But you're missing the major point - it's a NEW crime- arrest, prosecute, and sentence coordinate with parole board immediately to make sure he remains in jail. Common sense.

A new crime by a parole means that the responsibility and authority was given to them to hold them without further involvement from the DA AFAIK. I’d like to understand why that didn’t happen. I want to know the details before rendering judgement.

Parole said: "None of the parolee's arrests following his 2020 release have yet to result in filings of criminal charges by the DA." Don't focus on just this case - read through all of what Chesa has done. You know he claims crime is down right?

Yes we all know @chesaboudin lies. I’ve looked at the crime dashboard and have seen his press releases and see with my own eyes what is happening.
