My victim services team - almost all grant funded - does so much critical work every day to support victims and survivors of crime. This year we've made huge strides - and so much more to do:

We’ve decreased application processing from an average of 60 days to 27! And bill processing from an average of 80 days to 51! We’ve also decreased income loss from 88 days to 75. What this means is that victims of crime are being helped much more quickly.

Why do we want to incentive people to be crime victims by providing victim services? Why not make San Francisco a less appealing place for criminals? They keep coming here because it’s probably the best place on earth to be a criminal.

This is the dumbest comment I’ve seen yet from Chesa’s trolls. “Please don’t take care of victims of crime too well, it incentivises criminals.” What insane cruelty dominates your analysis.

You missed the part about making SF are harder place for criminals. If you want to keep enabling crime have at it - but that doesn’t sound too compassionate to me.
