  8. Oh yes, we can get even higher temperatures than yesterday! An incredible almost +30 °C has been recorded in eastern Spain today - Valencia airport hit +29.6 °C and broke the all-time February record from 1990! +28.9 °C in Xàbia and +28.6 °C in Alicante!

  15. A deep upper low with an intense surface cyclone and a frontal system continues across the Balkan peninsula, delivering severe winds, convective storms and torrential rainfall with small hail and snow locally. A much colder airmass arrives tomorrow!

  16. EXTREMELY severe winds across Corsica (France) today. Peak gusts up to almost 200 km/h in some areas! Such gusts are produced by the overall severe mistral winds coming from SW Alps, accelerating additionally downslope from the higher terrain across Corsica. Maps:
