It was a really lovely and impactful event to attend today, and couldn’t help but contrast this with the outright hostility my hometown’s subway system (Seoul Metro) has displayed on its most vocal disabled riders for over a year

Today we hosted a safety orientation with the blind and low-vision community to educate them in navigating BART. At 19th St Oakland Station, we had a new train out of service so staff can guide where priority seating, emergency instructions and Braille signages are located.
