@sethwillits@mjtsai The theory is that you should render text on an opaque background, not on a transparent one that later gets composited. -
@michel_fortin Yeah, the textfield has drawsBackground on, so it _should_ be rendering the text on the opaque background.

@sethwillits@mjtsai You could try drawing the background in NSCell's `drawInteriorWithFrame`, as close to the text drawing as possible. -
@sethwillits@mjtsai Perhaps you could override `drawCell` to draw an opaque background before it draws the text.
