My heart truly mourns over the news today. Kobe was a great mentor and friend to me. You and your daughter will live forever in our hearts. There are not enough words to express my deepest sympathies to the Bryants and every family suffering from this tragedy. RIP my friend

Crossing the street in India is the most interesting thing. You literally just start walking head on into oncoming traffic and hope that they slow down. It feels like I am in a video game, not real life.

When I give cars shit, it’s as a primary mode of transportation for society. I have a garage full of lovely cars that I enjoy (mostly not) driving. I appreciate a car like I would a horse. Once a useful mode of transportation, but now a mere hobby!

This is 🤯 using historical data to predict container performance and using cgroups to control CPU placement. CFS makes an attempt at all of these things (except using PMCs to guide placement) but it’s always going to be imperfect because...

Ah! Sure. But also I can quickly explain. Metrics are the right way to measure infrastructure health, the health of any service in aggregate. But events are the right way to measure end user experience. ☺️ Ergo you can roughly say that monitoring:ops::observability:devs.

If you have to coax people to help them, You shouldn't be helping them in the first place- unless you yearn for a perpetually Frustrated Existence. Hands to be extended only to those who wish to stay afloat, & swim. If they're hell-bent on sinking, LET THEM SINK.

Holy crap, this is incredible: A dog playing Jenga. Turn-taking, fine motor control, apparent understanding of the aim of the game. I would not have guessed a dog could do this.

One of the worst things the Indian education system has done is convince kids that obedience and discipline are the same things, thereby making many kids hate them both. To create anything of half decent value, you need insane discipline. Learning this in your mid-20s is painful.
