Our perspective is out on the mechanisms promoting adaptive radiation! pdf: 1/ Most speciation models/mechs predict decelerating rates, not a rapid burst - this is a problem! How can the speciation process sustain itself?

Our new paper. Imprinting may evolve in contact zone. This reduces costly hybridization and help maintain polymorphism, but homogenizes innate preference and won't maximize trait divergence. Direct cost & adaptive hybridization counters the evolution.
