@TeamYouTube You should add a setting to disable the new swipe to change video feature, I think I must've accidentally done it hundreds of times already.

I'm on a OnePlus 6T with Android 9 pie. The YouTube app is on version 13.46.53. When I swipe on a video it changes to the next one, just as when you click the arrows.

Swiping on the video player shouldn't change the video or go to next video. If this is happening, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app updates to see if it's otherwise. Here's how: Open the Settings app > Tap Apps > Tap the YouTube app > Tap ⋮ > Tap Uninstall Updates.

I might be crazy, but that seemed to disable it for a few minutes, then it returned. It's apparently a new feature in the testing phase that is being rolled out to some users.https://www.firstpost.com/tech/news-analysis/youtube-is-adding-swipe-gestures-to-switch-between-videos-in-its-android-app-4869131.html …

Sorry for the confusion earlier. You might be a part of beta experiment. Could you file a feedback report with these steps: https://goo.gl/1ckkO5 ? While every individual report may not get a direct response, we do review everything & use the details to investigate & fix issues.
