This podcast with and is easily the most interesting one I've heard in 2019! Well worth a listen if you're interested in: - Gender roles in society - Which foods cause the most suffering - Diversity on panels - Nature vs nurture

  4. Yeah so Adam Buxton invited a sexist white supremacist on his podcast. D*ana Fle*schmann. Profile with retweets of 'arguments' that any racial differences in IQ are evolutionary. I'm sure those aren't his views, but this both-sides 'discussion' approach to bigotry is so misguided

It should of course go without saying that it is great to hear on (despite my quibbles with his hosting) because she is always such a joy to listen to. Such a great representative of her field and always so good-natured and engaging.

Having been reminded of how much I love the minds of on Science Salon and on The Adam Buxton Podcast I feel compelled to say; power couple of 2019 guys. I suppose it makes sense that two independently amazing people would love each other.

So, this past weekend, at a wedding, I had an absolutely fascinating conversation with a woman who helps devise the tests they use to hire police officers in the UK, and her husband, a police officer. /1

  20. Reinforcement and punishment are in the minds of the beholder. On Twitter many people are strong reinforced by arguments and insults. It's possibly negative reinforcement, you're distracting them from their day to day lives, which are likely punishing.
