The Biden Administration continues to claim its only choices when it came to #Afghanistan were to increase troop levels or leave completely because Afghans weren’t willing to fight for their country. This is a false choice.

First, more than 66,000 brave Afghans died defending their country. We should not tarnish their bravery by claiming they weren’t willing to fight.

As I said to this week, our withdrawal should have been based on conditions on the ground. The administration’s decision was based on a political timeline, not what’s in the best interests of the safety and security of the US and our allies. bit.ly/396uWbN

Now, #Afghanistan is once again a safe haven for terrorists ready and willing to plot and execute attacks on Americans and our allies, just like before 9/11. We did not have to allow this to happen.

This was a disastrous withdrawal that projected weakness to our allies and enemies alike and lead to the tragic deaths of 13 brave men and women. And the world is more dangerous now as a result.

There comes a time when a person must make their own way. US supported Afgans for 20 years. It was time for them to make their own way in the world

Trump left him with 2,500 troops—not enough to hold off the Taliban if we broke the deal. We’re you willing to surge another 20,000 there again? And for how long?

If we had spent that 6 trillion dollars on infrastructure and renewable energy, we would have been the envy of all the countries in the world.
The world is more dangerous because three presidents didn't have the courage that Biden did.

Those 13 Americans were the last of nearly 2600 American servicemen who gave their lives in this ultimately futile and pointless war. People like you want to keep adding to that number.

13… Trump lost quadruple that and it was testified to that to stop the Taliban the US would have had to send back in 10’s of thousands of troops. Disingenuous and political propaganda as usual

No more forever war to make the Senator’s defense contractors and himself really really really rich.
The Senator never served in the military. His children did not serve.
He sent the children of many Ohioans to fight for what?
