  1. Driftnets kill more dolphins and porpoises off the coast of California than the entire West Coast combined. Now, we can finally phase out their use in California’s waters, just like the rest of the country, and transition to more sustainable methods.

  2. I urge the president to reconsider and work with our partners to improve the deal we have today. Withdrawing may force the president to sanction our closest allies, and may give Iran pretext to violate the terms of the strongest nuclear agreement ever negotiated.

  3. Every concern President Trump cited about Iran (support for terrorism, human rights violations, destabilizing activities etc.) has just become much more difficult to address now that we no longer have an agreement that prevents Iran from ever obtaining a nuclear weapon.

  4. Despite the U.S. Intel Community and IAEA stating Iran is in compliance, the president decided to withdraw for concerns outside of Iran’s nuclear program. Addressing Iran’s support for terror and ballistic missile program will only be harder by alienating our partners and allies.

  5. A nuclear-armed Iran poses a grave threat to U.S. national security. The Iran agreement forever prohibits Iran from developing nuclear weapons & by every account it is working. Withdrawing from the nuclear agreement may spark a nuclear crisis in the world’s most volatile region.

  6. Everything President Obama has done, this president wants to undo. An agreement that prevents Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon is one thing that should never be undone just to satisfy a campaign promise.

  7. It’s downright cruel to intentionally separate children from their parents as a way to punish immigrants, especially those seeking asylum. This policy betrays our values. We can’t lead the world on issues of human rights if we’re taking babies away from their mothers.

  8. Pres. Trump is expected to withdraw today from the most stringent nuclear weapons agreement ever negotiated. The ranking members of 12 Senate committees have sent the president a clear message: keep the agreement & work with our allies to address Iran’s destabilizing behavior.

  9. reminds us that funding Title II programs is so important. These programs allow educators to continue their professional development throughout their careers. We must invest in our teachers so our children can get a world-class education.

  12. We’re calling for full funding for Title II programs so we can give teachers the support and opportunities that will keep our best talent in public schools. Education is fundamental to a child’s success and we must invest in our teachers.

  16. 80% of Americans believe we should be doing more, not less, to improve fuel efficiency & cut emissions. There’s no good reason to try to roll back fuel economy standards now.

  17. Fuel economy standards are the biggest step we’ve taken to combat climate change. Current standards are cutting our greenhouse gas pollution by nearly 6 billion metric tons. By 2030, we’d cut our oil use by almost as much as we import from OPEC.

  18. We’re on target to increase the average fuel economy to nearly 39 mpg in 2020 and more than 50 mpg in 2025. But President Trump seems determined to undermine that progress.
