Aw, stop the BS. We're not Russia's friend. Trump wants nothing more -- literally -- than for Putin to think they are friends and that they work together. It was clear today. Clear as day. Don't embarrass yourself.
Let's refresh what happened. Trump rambled on about the DNC, HRCs' emails, and then he said that Putin had made a "powerful" denial of interference, and that he (Trump) didn't know why he wouldn't believe Putin. He said the U.S. had been foolish, /1
He (I am shaking in anger at our President) said Putin had made an "incredible offer" --that Mueller could come and work with RUSSIAN INVESTIGATORS to talk to the 12 who have been ALREADY INDICTED in the United States. WTHF? Senator Rounds? That's not friendly--it's debasing./2
Presumably this "incredible offer" would also involve us cooperating with Russian investigations of Bill Browder--of course, Trump apparently believes EVERYTHING a dictator says about Browder. I'm surprised Trump didn't agree to turn over Kasparov, while he's at it. /3
Yes, Trump is very interested in granting Putin's request -- because it sure seems like one -- to have a "joint cybersecurity force"--with a country that we KNOW attacked our electoral processes...But you're okay with that, right? /4
