The United States of America has never been about centralizing all power in Washington D.C. And Washington should not get to micromanage the processes that determine who comes to Washington.

That article is misleading and that 92% statistic is irrelevant to the discussion because it is a survey of voters who were able to get to the polls in 2018. Thus the people who the election day holiday would help are excluded from the survey. Try again, Mitch.
And to make it easier for people of color with jobs, who can’t afford to wait in line for 3-4 hours on a work day... curiously, their neighborhoods are exactly where it’s not easy to vote.
Many of us have been trying for decades.
Great! So what’s the harm, then, in making it easier? Re: you not wanting Election Day to be a holiday: I guess we should say thank you for letting us know that you know the majority of Americans continue to vote Democrat.
