The only reason Democrats want The Senate to vote on the bill they passed is to say They passed it but Republicans failed to reopen the government. Democrats don’t have the votes otherwise they would hold majority in both House and Senate.

The Senate can’t override a Presidential Veto no more than the House can. It takes 2/3 majority in both to override the Presidential veto. You don’t have the votes.
