As an independent I oppose the wall. It’s useless, unnecessary, expensive. The wall won’t work without 24/7 monitoring of the nearly 2000 miles—1300 of it remote and uninhabited. If one has to monitor the border 24/7 anyway for it to work, building the wall just a waste of money.

Make border wall funding and immigration a separate issue. Vote on the budget that was unanimously passed instead of holding our country hostage by holding back funding the budget. This is incredibly irresponsible.

Mr. Majority leader - Everybody agrees that we must secure our border — that does not mean building a wall of easily severed slats. Use the money to beef up security (people and equipment) and ease the backlog at ports of entry. Thank you.
I agree. I do not want a wall. Spend money on border security in ways that do not include this draconian wall. We are better than that. I too am one of the "american people" that are referenced so frequently in your speeches. Thank you.
