A big failure mode of normies is failing to realize that being insufficiently systematic (*wrt* basically anything) can be read as inherently *hostile*.

Hm, i am not entirely onboard. i think it is less the systematization and more the typical tone and 'stance' of nerds when they systematize They usu come across as misanthropic and contemptuous. Understandable, but a major confounder for your theory.
-
do you have examples of people who are blatantly, openly systematic about interpersonal interactions, but *don't* come across as hostile/contemptuous/etc?

Asking other people to engage with you in a mode of being that they do not prefer will always be a little bit selfish, and thus hostile. Given that most people don't generally prefer being in the systematic mode, entering into it regularly *is* kind of hostile.
-
I learned this very early, and so tried only to enter the systematic mode when it was wanted, or when it was clearly helpful for the other person (e.g. being overly irrational in a way they know is hurting them). To not learn this was to be bullied and ostracized.
