Adding this 2nd part as completes the discussion. Trump’s Afghanistan comments are straight Kremlin propaganda. He either is consuming Russian propaganda directly (doubtful), or someone close by is feeding it to him (More likely). Who is the source?https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/watch/trump-parrots-russian-revisionism-on-soviet-afghanistan-invasion-1419575875862 …

Can always count on Rachel to connect the dots. She’s a national treasure.

That is why I never miss
@maddow and always begrudge her sorely needed vacation time! But always thrilled when she is backed and recharged!

Right. The question to me is who/what is the specific person/channel giving Mr. Trump the Kremlin’s talking points. Is it Hannity? Who specifically delivers the points to him? That should be an easy question for a journalist with solid
@whitehouse sources to track down. Who? -
Kushner did try to set up a back-channel
-
A few folks tried. Someone succeeded. Clearly. It could be Jared which would be extremely interesting. But a journalist should get sources on the record to say exactly. This needs to be cleared up immediately.

HRC told us all he was a Putin puppet, many did not listen.
-
HC was right about everything she said about trump, including the “fake rich” part. Everyone will see what trump’s worth is when we get to see his tax returns.

Donald Trump is quite literally a traitor, a Russian Government asset actively working against U.S. interests. Either through some measure of influence they have over him tied to money, or other kind of leverage they hold tied to criminal activity/compromising personal info.
-
It's probably worse than that. With way his mind works, Trump has probably has convinced himself a long time ago that he's doing it because he WANTS to do it because nobody is going to make him do something he doesn't want to do. Long a Russophile, probably a true believer now.
-
Precisely. He doesn't care. He'll do WHATEVER he needs to do to help himself. Damn the consequences. He's very predictable that way. And we should all be long past the point of being surprised by each new low. Seriously. We should stop being outraged and start being calculating.
-
The press is still doing the same carnival barker routine with the “can you believe what he said?” crap. Yes I believe, am not amused, waiting for serious push back. I stopped listening to him, now ff through the OMG. Want to know what’s being done to stop this. He’s a threat.

Really. Why is it that Trump has a habit of parroting Russian propaganda? Don't you imagine that is a question Robert Mueller is asking too?
-
Sure he already knows the answer.

Seriously excellent reporting that more in the media should be talking about. It’s kind of scary just how much of a
#puppet the#FakePresident is. How much more has Putin directed? Why isn’t anyone in the GOP more concerned?#PutinsPuppet#IndictTrumpNow -
Yes
@selectedwisdom it’s time to focus on his handlers and the complicit GOP. He’s unrestrained.

Especially when we witness him unscripted and unable to conjugate a full sentence, much less express a clear idea from beginning to conclusion.

I grew up during the Cold War, and I don’t like to hear the President of the United States gushing about Russia.
-
The Cuban missile crisis was when I was 5 and we lived about a mile from a Nike base outside of DC. I remember a friend's dad building a bomb shelter and how terrified our parents were. Folks under 60 have NO IDEA.
-
My family lived close to an Army Depot. The built missiles and war heads. Our 4th grade teacher told us we (our community) would be the first to be hit by the Russians. And they wondered why kids in the 60's smoked pot.
