From Brittany: It’s an honor to be Representative Jayapal's guest at this year’s State of the Union. Too many long-term care workers continue to struggle with low wages, inadequate benefits, and no access to a union – and that’s not right. In Washington, I have a Union. [1]

So grateful to have Brittany as my guest tonight! Let's keep up the fight for care workers! #sotu2023 twitter.com/SEIU/status/16…

I was honored to spend a day with Brittany Williams, an incredible home caregiver, in 2021. She and millions of others put their lives on the line throughout the pandemic to keep our loved ones safe.
I'm so grateful today to bring her as my guest to the State of the Union.

Today I spent the morning with Brittany, a home care worker with @SEIU775 to see firsthand the incredible work she does. It’s clear that we need to pass my Domestic Workers Bill of Rights and finally extend rights and protections to all home care workers.

When nursing home workers have a union, we can speak up, just like Adelina Ramos. Together, we can hold corporations accountable to provide better care for residents & demand respect, protections, fair wages and safer staffing levels for workers. #UnionsForAll #CareIsEssential

The Senate Democrats deal to address #climatechange & make health care & prescription drugs more affordable is important & historic. But we must keep fighting for a solution to the care crisis. We’re not giving up until we have an econ that works for all.
