    You're probably losing a significant portion of transactions if your site is not compatible with Opera 🙃

    If you are building for average people in developing countries like Nigeria, make sure your site is accessible and usable on Opera Mini. Many people still use Opera Mini.

    Cool course! I've also started woodworking a few years back. My favourite book has been: it's really practical, and in a ways it's like design patterns for furniture. Except that these are still used, all the time.

    Day 2 of 3! We got to cut out all the components for our boxes 😊 The class has people from all backgrounds. My group has a man who’s a software dev who wants to do this as a hobby and a businesswoman who wants to fix up a cabin and build furniture for it.

    Wistia took the road less traveled and, rather than sell the business (largely to give investors a happy outcome), took on $17M in debt (!) and bought their investors out. I think we’ll see more creative financing options like this over time.

    Day 1 of 3 complete! My favorite part was getting to hold & feel types of wood as we learned about them. As I was working, I would panic if I thought I was messing up like I would back in toxic workplaces. It was therapeutic to have everyone be chill and say hey it’s just wood.

    A key realization in business and life is that a major reason why people are pervasively not honest about what they want is that people pervasively do not know what they want. That's a major reason why sales is effective (and socially useful).

    One tip for working at small companies: Job postings don't mean much. Small business owners don't have time to think about every possible role that could help them. If you like the company reach out with a resume & ask if you can help. They're also usually flexible about remote.
