There's a reason Obama & his circle worked so hard to make sure the DNC head was Tom Perez, not Keith Ellison. We were all supposed to believe there were no differences - making it bizarre that they worked so hard to install Perez and block Ellison - but you're seeing it now.

News: Warren's Nevada team in tumult as 6 staffers, all women of color, have departed the roughly 70-person campaign in the final stretch w/ complaints of a toxic work environment in which they felt tokenized and w/ state senior leadership at loggerheads.

Reporter: "Why should people believe your victory speech over his?" Bernie: "Because I got 6,000 more votes. And from where I come, when you get 6,000 more votes that’s generally regarded to be the winner.” End of story.

If the Iowa Democratic Party accedes to Buttigieg's demand to further marginalize the weight given to the communities who turned out at satellite caucuses, what does that say about the party? Other campaigns could have organized those communities and negated the advantage.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but the predominantly Black/Brown/immigrant/working class satellite caucuses that went overwhelmingly for Bernie aren't worth less than the others.

Enough is enough. In light of the problems that have emerged in the implementation of the delegate selection plan and in order to assure public confidence in the results, I am calling on the Iowa Democratic Party to immediately begin a recanvass.

We won in Iowa because of the unprecedented grassroots effort of our campaign. Thousands of volunteers knocked on hundreds of thousands of doors in the cold and snow. I want to thank each and every volunteer who participated in that effort.

I want to thank the people of Iowa for the very strong victory they gave us at the Iowa caucuses on Monday night. Some 6,000 more Iowans came out to support us than any other candidate. With eight strong candidates competing, that is a decisive margin of victory.
