it's unlikely people would use it directly. Most would use it as part of a framework like Apollo that'd aggregate all the requests from a tree before sending them off.
When people start using this new React fetcher API it’s going to be funny wathinf people wonder why all their data fetching is a waterfall and terrible on high latency networks.
