I had a whiff that same experience when I first visited the US. Once you see the green lawns and billboards everywhere you start wondering whether action movies and conspiracy thrillers are also not exaggerated.
-
What color are are the lawns in other countries?

fwiw, it's not just Europe. Sizing (among many other things) is just so different vis-à-vis with other countries. e.g. I'm 5'9, 150 lbs and am considered a "Large" in basically all Southeast Asian countries.

I ordered a "large" jacket online from an Asian retailer... when I got the jacket I could barely put both arms through lol.... Lesson learned.
