It's not widely known, but Chromecast can receive Play/pause commands from HDMI. Try using the play/pause button of your TV remote.
Me: Hey Google, pause the Chromecast
Google Home: I also need to know which device to use. Try saying that again and include the devices name.
Me: Hey Google, pause the Living Room TV Chromecast.
Google Home: I also need to know which device to use.
Me: Ahhhhh #firstworldproblems

Yeah I know, HDMI CEC. Whole point of the Google Home though was so we didn’t have to use any remotes
