Really? I've been able to open a checking account with just a free clicks (iirc), and they have been superb ever since
I'm converting an international account which is probably why. Before I lived in the US I even had to submit a form to do a wire transfer. Dealing with them was extremely painful.

Yeah, they need to 'get with the times' wrt transfers. If you have a SS/taxpayer I'd, maybe just open a new account?
