Australia's going to have instant transfers across banks soon, too. http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2017-10-04/how-will-instant-payments-actually-work/9010400 …. I miss it in the USA.

I actually transferred some money from my US to AU bank account the other week and it came in within 7 hours. Was extremelt surprised it was so quick. Not sure if they’re testing out the new system or I was just lucky.

TransferWise takes less than 24 hours between US & UK

This hasn’t been my experience. Usually have to wait at least 2 days for TransferWise.

Huh, this is the first time I've felt patriotic in a while.

Germany is the same. Bank transfers take 3-4 working days. Ridiculous nowadays imo. I have heard that the bank actively slows down the process to be able to speculate longer with your money. Not sure if that’s true tho.

@n26 is opening in the US soon and is fantastic. Also, try@TransferWise for any overseas transfers. Also incredibly fast. Transferred some money from Australia to Ireland the other day in 5 hours. - 2 more replies
