Almost a week with Amazon Echo and I can’t help but feel like it’s just speech recognition with a bunch of regexes. Doesn’t feel “smart”. Works really poorly unless you’re 100% locked into Amazon and all its services. Anybody else have similar experiences?

I set Spotify as default. That helped

I have trouble getting it to recognize proper nouns and song names, which makes it pretty useless for music... basically have to say genres
(Try asking for “despacito”!) -
