Third time @BankofAmerica have decided to block our cards because of "suspicious activity". Unable to get it fixed over the phone because they can't verify me as I'm "fresh to the country". Have to go into the branch each time to resolve it. Going mad. Any new bank suggestions?

I can highly recommend Schwab. They’ve been excellent every time I’ve had any problems.
Didn't know they did checking accounts... Hmm since I already have an investment account should be relatively easy to open a new one. I'll check it out, thanks!

They have the best debit cards, with no international atm fees

Can confirm, I'm a happy Schwab customers and I use them everywhere. It's nice getting ATM fees refunded at the end of the month.
