Meh I'm not terribly interested in it. It strips some of the impact we've had on potential contribs etc. by showing the people behind the project.

this isn't a bad idea at all. when I tweet at a company or faceless project, it's only for "support" I could see a "stub" account being worthwhile which has a pinned tweet "follow these other people instead"
