Seniority is never a self awarded title anyway. Usually awarded by an employer or peers who I would hope have enough judgement to evaluate you relative to others.

@sebmck is someone I would definitely hire as a senior engineer. I‘ve known people in the industry for 20 years longer than he’s been alive who I don’t think have the skills he has technically.

I think"senior" is a poor choice of word, it sounds like you can get it just by putting up with the bullshit for a decade.
