Only one person on the React team has a CS degree. Doesn’t mean they’re not useful, but the perception that you need to have it to get hired is false.

You can always get an L1 and then a green card if you're still at FB and want to come over.
L1 without a degree is unlikely. There’s two different types of L1. There’s the “blanket L1” which is very easy to get with a degree and 1 year working abroad. The standard L1 requires specialised knowledge and it’s hard to make that case to USCIS.

Depends on the kind of L1. I’ve a blanket L1-A with no degree (though 10 years of work xp) my understanding is that L1-B is a bit harder without formal education .

L1-B is hard because it requires making the case that you have specialised knowledge. If you’ve been at a company for only a year or two then it’s pretty hard to convince the US government that you’re essential.
