Starting to seriously consider a `goto` proposal for JS. (Mostly for compiler output.)
Does goto provide benefits over extracting into functions and calls?

saving stack frames comes to mind

also transferring more than one value between them is expensive. but calls are also surprisingly flaky to get optimized quickly and well. locals are always fast.
