No idea why British tourists go abroad and stay at a hotel eating British breakfast and then go out to a British pub.

I totally agree with that but it seems that we sometimes seem to bend over to the British in way that we do not to our own country.
and especially in Madeira they aim to please their unrighteous owners.I think Maderian’s out of necessity have to bend over backward for tourists because it drives a large part of the economy.

That’s absolutely true but it’s unfortunate to witness the daily “special treatment” that a tourist will get comparing to a fellow Madeiran.
