I basically learned VB and later .NET thanks to IntelliSense.

Me too. Good tooling can make a huge difference. That's one of the things C# and .NET got right with Visual Studio.

Maybe crazy, but I use Jupyter Notebook for all language editing now. store snippets SQLite, help links, FTP, Backups as easy as copy
