I agree patents are extremely stupid. But then if everyone used FB’s license, patent wars couldn’t even happen. Fixing law in userland.

I know you said uncommon but when there's so many exceptions it seems silly to use FB being special as an argument.

Of these examples, I think only TensorFlow qualifies as core, and it’s fairly recent. The rest are platforms they want others to use.

Sure, and they have patents. The FB license _relaxes_ the patent rights.
