@sebmck if I install something via Yarn that's already been installed via npm, are there two different versions then sitting on my PC?
yeah npm and yarn have different caches. `$ yarn cache dir` to get the location of the yarn cache. not sure how you get the dir of npm.

Was asking because when I looked at the nvm directory it looked like yarn overwrote the location but i think it's just a symlink.

Yep that's exactly what happened. The ref to tsc was changed to point to the Yarn cache instead of the npm cache. Good to know.
