Loved Arch when I used it briefly but I think I'd prefer Ubuntu LTS for my workstation.

Possible, but not worth it due to how fast your battery will die running Linux on a MacBook. Also runs VERY hot.

I use it with the 2015 mbp. I guess you have no drivers for the touchbar.

Could most likely do it with Ubuntu or Archlinux. Be prepared for some hiccups, though.
