and is there a simple example of how to have dynamic height elements with a <List>? docs/examples are really confusing 
@brian_d_vaughn with react-virtualized is there an easier way to rerender a <List> when the data changes but the length stays the same?

ah cool, thanks! ended up using a pure HOC and doing forceUpdateGrid in componentWillReceiveProps, feels a lot nicer

Calling forceUpdateGrid() on the List component (requires ref) should re-render it with the new data.
