I'd consider disabling caps lock and replacing it with ctrl.
The only thing that makes me reboot these days is when my touchbar MBP has its caps lock stuck on and won't turn off without a power cycle.

Remapped caps lock to prefix on Tmux. Use "killall ControlStrip" on terminal to refresh the touch bar.

Do you ever connect to an external monitor? Haphazardly connecting and disconnecting still makes my MBP die sometimes :(

Always. Unlocking with external desktop plugged in always results in freeze for me. Shame it's here for two releases already.
