Trying to figure out why my lived experience in open source is so much different from many others.

From personal experience, when it's your full time focus it feels like a bad relationship. Even though majority is good the small bad things
chip away at you until you just have resentment and can't deal with it anymore.

Part of it is you can't control the culture around the public-facing parts. Easily gets straining because consumers can be very demanding
